A blog against Anorexia and Bulimia
As a blogger portraying my ideas of beauty, grace and femininity I hold a great responsibility in the ideas of my visitors and what they believe is beauty. Taste, itself, is a beautiful subject, one that influences others and is individual us. We quest ourselves with the task of finding the beauty and showing it to the world.
Our minds however may unintentionally manipulate what others find beautiful and sadly, this is becoming a common case for many, boys and girls, of all ages. As a lover of fashion and something I dedicate a lot of my time to, I feel partly responsible for the trend of the increasing numbers of eating disorders, particularly with the people that enjoy my blog. I, myself, have often succumbed to these feelings of inferiority, disgust and self-hatred of my own body as I am sure many others have, too.
Through my quest for beauty, however, I have learnt one important thing. Eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa are not beautiful and never can be. To be beautiful, you must be healthy, to be healthy you must attempt to not succumb to these illnesses.
However, those who suffer will agree, it is most certainly not your fault or anyone who fall ill to these diseases. What is important is to support these people and do not support their disease. We may believe that we can not recover from diseases like these but it is important that support is widespread and available to everyone, especially those falling for the illness. Beauty is indeed a matter of taste but it can only be achieved through being healthy and happy.
If you have any worries that you may be suffering from any eating disorder I ask you to message me so I can try to support you as much as I can. Stay happy and healthy!

A sign backstage at Givenchy haute couture autumn/winter 2009-2010, a positive contribution to the welfare of models in the fashion industry. I am happy to say that this has been my most popular picture on my blog, with more than 25,000 notes solely on this picture alone. It shows that both the online community and the fashion industry are positive in changing the way beauty is portrayed in the media. Healthiness and happiness is the true universal beauty that we all can achieve.
